Overall the bag functions as intended but the overall stitching, leather strap closures and buckles are extremely cheap and of poor, poor quality.

Nice bag, wish it had magnets to attach the straps to the bag instead of buckle type.

The canvis frabic is ok, however its pretty thin and seems like it would rip easily. The bag is a lot smaller then anticipated, but not tiny, it could hold a few books or a netbook, or make a decently sized first aid kit. The leather straps are made of very cheap and thin leather, and the buckles are very small, so though the straps will keep the bag closed under normal day to day activities, they may come lose if put under stress.

Lighter weight than I expected but it is fine.

My kid wanted this for carrying whatever junk he carries to school besides books. It has held up well.

    Greater than one week

Satchel was about the size I was expecting. I ordered with the intention of using it as a first aid bag for my jeep or a camera bag. Perfect size for which ever.... Overall, its not super sturdy but for 16.99 its hard too beat...suits my needs but if youre looking for a full size satchel for carrying a heavy load this probably isnt the satchel for you.

I wore this bag weekly in a very busy environment, and was constantly using it, so the straps experienced a lot of wear and tear and eventually broke after a year, but was more than happy to buy a second one, which I treated with more care and then eventually handed it off to a friend in good condition after another year. Just for reference, I would estimate that it could fit about three 11/2 inch empty binders not in weight but just size. I carried an extremely full 11/2 inch binder and a First Aid kit in there 24/7 and it all fit fine. Definitely would recommend
