I bought the small and it measures about 12 to 13 inches. I use it as a purse. I love it. I am not sorry i bought it at all.

I got the 17 bag and love it. There is only one main compartment with a zipper and the flap goes over that. Inside is a small zipper pocket on the backside which would be good for something. In the front are two large pockets that snap. Each side has a pocket with a true buckle and not a magnet like the front buckles. My 17 inch laptop fit perfectly however the bag has no padding and it is not very rigid but that was not what I wanted. The color, leather and stitching all look great together. I got the green. This is a great bag.

Very good quality just wish it had more pockets. Doesnt hold everything I need.
