Greater than one weekI had stored a file cabinet in my sister’s garage for over a year. The musty garage smell was bad. I tried baking soda which didn’t have any effect at all. Then I thought of Thieves. I put a few drops on cotton balls and put one in each drawer. I don’t remember how long it took, but it worked. I’m not crazy about the scent of Thieves but it’s better than musty garage. My refrigerator broke down and it took several weeks for repairs. We missed a bag of veggies in the freezer and it smelled worse than the file cabinet. I did the cotton ball again routine and it worked like a charm.
