More like a bag, less like a basket but still very sturdy and lined with plastic on the inside.

It comes with comes with two, but I only need one for my travel. Extra doesnt hurt though. It comes flat so its packable, size is good for a family of 4-5, for a week worth of clothes. I Plan on using during our trip next week.
