I needed a bit more room on my desk without all the clutter. Raising my laptop was the best option to get that little bit of storage I needed for a day planner and note pad. Im working from home on a fairly small 22x40 desk, so I purchased a larger shelf (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BYQP5C9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) to hold my monitor and laptop and create more desk space. I added this riser to raise my laptop to the same eye level as my larger monitor. I love it. The unit is perfect for holding a monitor or laptop. The shelf is ventilated to keep my laptop cool while crunching large CAD models. I can store my power supply, docking station, portable hard drives etc. underneath so they are handy when Im packing up my mobile office. The quality is very nice for the price. All steel construction seems very durable and the shelf has threaded studs to attach the legs very solidly. I wouldnt stand on it, but for holding up a monitor or laptop its very sturdy and should last forever. Also I like the simple, sleek styling and semi-gloss black finish. There are even rubber feet on the bottoms of the legs to keep it from sliding or scratching your desk. No complaints whatsoever.
