Greater than one weekThis size house is perfect for one guinea pig. Very tight for two. They are eating the houses but very slowly. We have had ours for 2 months and it is just now time to replace them. There is a fairly strong odor when they are first opened. I would suggest letting them air out for a day before placing in the cage.
