All speeds as advertised according to Crystaldiskmark. They do get noticeably warmer than gen3. I have 4 of these drives in an Asus hyper card which has dedicated cooling and i see up to 50c in prolonged workloads which is roughly 10c hotter than any of my gen 3 drives got in the same environment. They scale well together also. Software RAID0 in windows 10 (pro for workstation) is very close to the theoretical maximum throughput, very impressive.

This thing is stupid fast! I was gonna save a few bucks then decided to just spend the $$$ for a Black and so glad I did!

I have this for my gaming laptop, its fine, lovely speeds, just like the manufacturer says, but with continuous load speed drops, maybe because of a lack of cache.

I upgraded from a Sata M.2 WD Green that came with laptop, so the comparison is between the two M.2 technologies.

The promised up to 5,150 Mb/s (almost double) speed was the reason to buy the WD_BLACK 2TB SN770 to replace the WD_BLACK 2TB SN750, which has up to 3,400 Mb/s speed. The difference is minimal (see pictures attached - the first three show WD_BLACK 2TB SN750, the last three - WD_BLACK 2TB SN770).
