Nothing to dislike. Excellent price, fast as hell and works perfectly in the PS5. In fact, Mark Cerny, the lead engineer of the PlayStation 4 and 5 has this exact model in his own PS5.

I installed this in my X570 board, complete with the boards heatsink, but it still hit 81 degrees according to the WD toolbox. The temperature graph showed the values in red, suggesting that the drive would be damaged running at that temperature for long periods. Shortly afterwards, the file transfer I was using to test the drive slowed to a crawl.

I bought this storage because I needed to upgrade my laptop. Installing it was very straight forward and it works perfectly. There were minor complications with getting the laptop to read the storage initially, but after messing with the BIOS a little bit, it was very fast and works perfectly.

M.2 Drive came with nothing but inside a anti static bag labels with the S/N on it and nothing on the drive itself to distinguish it’s a WD_Black at all. . Not to mention the serial is invalid on WD’s website. . Wasted 2 weeks waiting just to return and refund.

Great for PS5 expansion

You can tell if you have a game downloaded on this m.2 vs a SSD because the load times and download times/upload times are noticably faster.

This operates at transfer speeds well in excess of what adds value to the average user. Lovely hardware to have
