I have no complaints about this drive as far as performance is concerned. The screenshot says it all.

So I have both the 980 PRO 1TB and the SN850 1 TB without the heatsink. Using my z690 board’s heatsink, the WD idles at 35 while the 980 pro idles at 44C and while testing there’s still about 10C difference in favour of the 850, if I would have known I would have bought a 2TB sn850 instead

Bought a heat sink separately, stuck it in the PS5 and now I have all my favourite games ready to go.

    Excellent M2 drive

The future of gaming has arrived with the WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD. Long load times are obsolete with PCIe Gen4 technology, reaching up to 7000MB/s read speed and up to 5300MB/s write speed (1TB model). Spend more time playing and less time deleting, storing your latest and favorite games with up to 2TB capacity (not intended for NAS or server environments). As used for storage capacity, 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = one trillion bytes. Actual user capacity may be less depending on operating environment. As used for transfer rate, 1 MB/s = 1 million bytes per second. Based on internal testing; performance may vary depending upon host device, usage conditions, drive capacity, and other factors.
