> 24 hourThis thing is stupid fast. I will say though, I would have gotten the Rocket 4 Plus but it was 100 over its normal price, so I got this instead. Both amazing drives though.

> 24 hourJust installed the 1TB model in my PS5. I went with the Sabrent PS5 heatsink, it’s specifically made for this purpose so it was a perfect and easy fit, and it costs way less than buying an SSD with a heatsink from Western Digital. Install was a snap, formatted right up and read speeds are as advertised. I’m happy.

> 24 hourOh these are fast... once you have all the proverbial plates spinning that is. Western Digitals Dashboard program/app need to have the SN850 set to Game Mode (reboot required), the motherboard needs to support PCIe Gen4 and 4 channels in the M2 slot, the CPU needs to support PCIe Gen 4, the motherboard firmware setting for the M2 slot needs to be set to enable Gen4.

> 24 hourSo I have both the 980 PRO 1TB and the SN850 1 TB without the heatsink. Using my z690 board’s heatsink, the WD idles at 35 while the 980 pro idles at 44C and while testing there’s still about 10C difference in favour of the 850, if I would have known I would have bought a 2TB sn850 instead

> 24 hourMy device produced random read errors causing a kernel panic on linux. So I would be in the middle of something and it would just reboot, no error to found anywhere including using nvme-cli (unless I happened to be in the console when the error occurred).
