Despite its practical use, which has been reviewed by others, I want to add that this makes a great gift for metalworkers, fabricators, and makers. Its one of these that is so cool presents to give a good friend for no reason. It looks great and even comes with a sticker for the tool box. Because we all love stickers

At first I was a bit unsure concerning where to begin...This is a chunk of metal that has a purpose and that purpose is very narrow but it fulfills its purpose very well. If you are looking at this product, you likely need/want some practice welding, want a piece of metal for a desk, or you want to find a cool gift that is a bit out of the box. I think this thing checks all of the aforementioned boxes and works in each scenario. Admittedly, I am newer to welding (and also wanted a hunk of metal that I did something to in order to decorate my desk/workbench) but I needed the practice. When I first saw this, I thought that you had to heat up the points that bend...but you just need a vice and wrench...THEN you can weld it. This is cool and very much a niche product that is some really high quality steel. Its simply a small piece of CNC plasma cut mild steel as stated. The cuts themselves look nice and dont have any dross on them. The piece itself is actually fairly small but easily bendable with a wrench and a vise.

Heavy steel. Can be bent and welded, cut and welded or used as part of a larger project. Laser cut. Steel is solid and needs a heavy well mounted vice to bend. Fun for learning mig welding and plasma cutter

I was given one of each of these sets for a gift years ago while teaching myself how to weld. Finally decided to give them a shot now that inwould waste these cool things. They bend perfectly needing VERY little adjustment, the steel is a good quality fairly clean piece and welds beautifully. Decided to clean it up and polish it to a mirror finish because it looks so cool when done!
