My wife immediately picked these out as she is familiar with the Wescott brand and wanted a strong all metal scissor. A big plus is the overall look had a vintage copper antiques-type appearance, and was deceptively light to boot. Of course, the cut is clean and smooth; as are the scissors when cutting, there is dexterity engineered - controlling precise movement as one applies pressure when cutting. Very, very sharp in cut and appearance.

Im sure that despite my best efforts at prevention (not to mention threats) that some members of my household who shall remain nameless have used my trusty Wiss sewing scissors to cut paper and maybe even cardboard (gasp!). So Ive been looking for a pair to replace them. Im afraid this pair isnt going to cut it (no pun intended!). Only three of my fingers fit in the opening, making cutting a very uncomfortable and unstable motion. Also, theyre quite heavy and the metal has a sharp edge that cuts into my fingers. Too bad, because they look great in combination with my 75-year-old Singer Featherweight!

These scissors are well made and cut through paper and bubble-wrap like butter.

I received the package and from the start it looked opened and used and was all filled with dirt . I opened the entire scissors and they are all dirty , dusty and scratched.
