Western digital has been caught red-handed, they changed the architecture of this drive without changing the model number. It writes at half the speed of previous versions of the same model number. When companies try and pull this crap, they lose me as a customer For Life. Dont support these jackholes

I installed this in an Intel NUC Kit NUC8i3BEH thats runs Sparky Linux. I use for streaming and for various other light duties like surfing, text editing, light programming. The NUC stays on 24/7 and so far no issues. I cant speak to its relative speed but my experience with the Linux boot and performance has been good. The NUC has 16GB of RAM.

Superb Highly recommended. Got this on a pcie slot in my Mac Pro 4,1 flashed 5,1 with Catalina happily booting from it with no firmware upgrade etc necessary as many say.

I have purchased this NVMe pcie m2 ssd to increase my overall system performance and it does the same. Now, my boot up time is reduced to 20 sec from 2-3 minutes ( which was my previous case with my HDD).

It is lightning fast speed. The only regret I have is that I should have bought the 1TB one as this one gets filled up easily. The 1TB one is very expensive though.
