Wheeler Professional Digital Trigger Pull Gauge with 1 Oz Increments and Digital Display for Accurate Readings from 0-12 lbs

I got this to measure pulls on competition rifle triggers. On my Anschutz and Brno rifles, the triggers are factory dialed in at 400 grams. They break so cleanly and with so little over-travel, that this gauge requires some practice to get accurate measurements. It basically works by measuring the highest pressure in the pull. In theory, when the trigger breaks, the pressure required drops suddenly which is your queue to stop pulling. That measurement at break is your trigger pull. If you dont stop pulling at the break, the value will keep increasing. Pull slow and steady and stop the precise moment you see/hear the break and youll get an accurate measurement. Like I said, on 400 grams, its tough. On some of my heavier triggers, its a lot easier. To winnow out the human factor, I do like the ability to average multiple pulls.

I have been using this trigger gauge for a few months now on a number of triggers. Fairly easy to use and I love having it. The tricky part is using it on the same place on the trigger each time and pulling it straight back. I like having the sensor on the arm instead of the body of the unit because it reduces the chances of binding messing with your results. I would buy it again.

I have enjoyed rifle hunting for years and should have bought this sooner. I can’t speak to the accuracy as I have nothing to compare it to but it is believable, and simple to use.

This is a handy little gadget. Can be tricky to get consistent readings. I do ten pulls and take the average.

If you have an adjustable trigger or do any trigger work then this is a must have tool. Works great as long as you are consistent in how you use it.

Has been giving consistant readings. The construction of it seems good and I have had no issues with it. Mine came with an extra trigger piece that is swappable for firearms with safety blade triggers.

I have both of the Wheeler trigger pull gauges… and this digital one is by far the best

Allows for average of multiple pulls and/or peak trigger pull readings. Easy to read, backlit. Comes with hard case and adapter for bladed triggers. Only drawback is the pull finger is too large for some subcompact handguns (e.g. Springfield Hellcat) - it won’t fit between the trigger and the trigger guard without some pre-pull.
