White Mountain Puzzles Pencil Collage - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Difficult puzzle which is a good thing. The box is really cool and comes with a box stand so you dont have to find something to lean it against while you work.

Most fun puzzle we have done! My husband and I both loved it. We are both retired and during pandemic started doing puzzles.

This puzzle is very well made. The pieces are thick and hold together well. Its challenging because of the odd shapes of the pieces. We even had a hard time identifying some of the edges. It was fun to do, and easily sharable with friends and family due to the puzzles durability.

I buy puzzles and set them out in my office on a shared table. People work to complete them in a few days or over a week. This Pencil design elicited many groans at the complex pattern, but people soon fell into the rhythm of putting it together a piece here and there. This was one of the longer puzzles for us -- took about a week to get together. Image how disappointed we were to discover that two pieces were missing!! We dont have any disruptions in our office -- like pets or kids -- so theres no way it got eaten, lost, etc. Of the ~8 White Mountain puzzles Ive purchased this is the only one that has come incomplete.

Great Puzzle but a challenge

This is not the hardest puzzle weve done, but it is a challenge. Some of the pencils are duplicates, and some are upside down. The edge areas are more difficult because they contain mostly erasers or lead points. We liked this puzzle so much, we Modge-Podged it and framed it. Weve had many compliments on it hanging on the wall of the family room. The photography is very good, in that the image is sharp, and the colors are vibrant. As a photographer, the image is slightly warm (yellow), but the colors still tend pop. Some of these pencils bring back memories of the ones we used in school (two color marking pencils). A lot of fun! Highly recommended. We had to buy it from a 3rd party, and it was a bit expensive.

As soon as I saw this online, I smiled. It was a challenging puzzle but oh-so much fun to do . Try it !!

This was a good one. I had to work on the pencils one at a time and then position them inside the puzzle, eventually filing in the gaps. It took me a few days and by the time i was done i found that one of the kids lost one of the puzzle pieces so it was very unsatisfying after all that work. oh well..

I really like the construction of the puzzle. It is very sturdy, and also very complicated and challenging which a puzzle should be. I have it in a public area of where I work and people stop by and place a couple of pieces and take a moment to converse.

Enjoyed this puzzle. Equal difficulty from all sides.
