Its a good idea to get this expansion when buying the original. Having the expansion allows you to play with 3 to 4 players. Plus the game gets more interesting when there are more than 2 players.

My kids love to play this with me. Easy to learn, fun to play, and not just some random draw game.

Has a powerful card of all 4 ships, we put them in slips. Good variety. Has the leviathan card as well, which is what we were looking for.

This game seriously rocks. If you like MtG or Dominion then buy this game and its expansion ASAP.

I think I preferred the original more, but I do like how I can either play it as a standalone or as an expansion to the original game. Keeps a lot of the original ideas around, while having more balance and variations on existing and new cards. Getting this expansion also helps when filling out players more than 2, and is definitely worth the purchase.

My 12 year old son wanted this game after playing with it with his uncle. I have also bought it for my 14 year old nephew. They all love it! Would recommend to kids and adults who like strategy games with a bit of luck.

Fast paced, simple, and COMPACT deck building game. I love Dominion and Clank! but this game definitely has a niche.

Im reviewing this late, but this game means a great deal to me. Got it to play with my fiancee, but ended up playing with everyone else. Taught it to her cousin, her sister, and a few other friends. After not seeing my twin brother for a number of years, we were reunited recently and I taught him how to play this game just a few weeks before he passed away. I just want to thank the makers of this game for providing an experience to my brother that could help him forget his deep depression for a couple of minutes. Among a few others, this game is one of the last memories I have of him. 5 stars is not enough to convey that. Thank you for making this game.
