The product wire was stiff and needed time to uncoil, but it meets UL specs. Not big issues. More problematic was the male MC4 plug that was on the positive (red) wire. It fastened nicely to my EcoFlow solar panel MC4, but would not release—even with use of a MC4 tool that I had from Renogy. I had to use a flat head screw driver with the MC4 tool to get it to release. The result was a weakened clip (one of the two that holds the female in place) that unfortunately broke off. I’ve never had this issue before over several years of experience with MC4 connectors and I am returning the cable to Windy Nation. I did send Windy Nation a note directly about this concern but have not yet heard back. I really wanted to buy USA made (or assembled)…Edit: I contacted Windy Nation and they offered to send out a replacement, which I accepted. So, I upgraded the star rating to a 4, for their customer service. In the event the replacement is problematic, I will again edit this review.

Not as stiff as I expected being 10 gauge wire. I laid them out and put zip ties about every 2 feet. this keeps them untangled and easier to roll out/up.

Have used these brand cables in the past and they work fine. Connect and disconnect multiple times without a problem. However, this set had one terminal pull out when disconnected from a botched crimp as well as a couple of the retainer clips break off. The plastic on the connectors seems to be more brittle than the other sets I already had. Now I get to buy some more MC4 connectors to repair these cables. I ended up cutting the cable for a pigtail to my solar charge controller so I can use it for a disconnect. Will have a spare pigtail set after fixing the broken plastic cover and replacing the metal connector on what is left. For what it is worth, I have maybe a half century experience with all kinds of electrical wires, connectors and advanced electronic repair. I am not new to this stuff and it was definitely poor workmanship on the connector and material of the plastic tabs. I usually crimp and solder my own cables but tried to save some time that just did not work out.

Installation was 6+ months ago and operation has been great since then.

Purchased these to give more flexibility to my solar charger. They worked great, comes with 2 cables that hook up easily to the solar charger. The only reason I am giving them a 4 and not a five is the cables are individual and they tangled easily because they are so long. I fixed that with a roll of electrical tape and about 30 minutes. They now act as one cableand cant tangle (small price to pay for the great price of the cables). Other than that these are great cables, built well and heavy duty 10 ga wire. Did not have any voltage drop or loss any charging capability. I use 4 batteries on my trailer and these cables helped keep them up to full charge by allowing me to get the charger out of the shade. They are now a part of my solar charging kit for my camp trailer.

These work great and allow me to move my Renogy 200 Watt panels around from my trailer just enough. As other reviewers have noted, it is best not to go longer than 20 with this gauge wire as you will begin to lose efficiency due to resistance in the wires.

MC4 connectors are probably the worst type of connectors to use. as the wire heats from ambient temperatures and DC Current they melt. So, if you smell electrical burning smell check the MC4 connectors, I have replaced many of them. Check the Wattage rating of the connectors when constructing your Solar array. Before you put a load on these cheap low-end parts. As for the Wire itself Great product!
