Wolf Link amiibo (Nintendo Wii U/Nintendo 3DS/Nintendo Switch)

good if you like Amiibos

My granddaughter loved it.

This guy is pretty neat. I love the figurine itself as it is beautifully made. Unfortunately, you only get a 3 heart wolf link a day (unlimited uses until he dies for the day, or reloading old save if he dies). You can get more hearts if you have the twilight princess game for the Wii U, but honestly I ended up buying a spoofed RFID card with the 20 heart wolf link on it, for a fraction of the price, and no need to grind out a different Legend of Zelda game. I beat Twilight Princess on the original Wii, and for others that did the same, I am sure you all do not want to go back through that process.

I haven’t actually used this, it just arrived today. But the package has clearly been opened before. I’m not a collector or a reseller so it’s not the end of the world, but I know people who are and they would be furious if someone made that mistake with their order so I’m leaving a review just to give others a heads up. The amiibo itself looks to be in good condition and the packaging was also carefully reassembled so it would still work as a display item since the opening is on the bottom. We just wanted to scan it in my nephew’s game and he’s not going to care, so I’m not returning it, but it was still uncool.

So happy it came undamaged and with no dinks!

Meh. This is my least favorite Amiibo. The wolf in Breath of the Wild is pretty okay, but it doesnt have much health. I ended up getting it out maybe once or twice and the rest of the times I didnt even bother with it. I also have friends who play Zelda BOTW and also like Amiibo and I would not get this Amiibo for them... so... I think the actual appearance of the Amiibo is too busy and hard-to-read. And its an awkward size/ shape compared to my other Amiibos. So, maybe if it appeals more to you in the picture here and you just love Amiibos then this could be for you! But it wasnt really for me and I kinda wish Id bought another from the Zelda collection instead of this one. I was lured in by the in-game item but its too weak to care much about from my experience. ^^;

The Amiibo came in great time - two weeks early - and perfect condition! My brother and I were both interested in getting them as Zelda memorabilia, and then the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild compatability came out and we were sold. I bought one separately for my brother as a surprise and one one with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. (That way we can level up our Wolf-Links for BotW!) Also a great price for the Standalone ($18) since theyve been selling like hotcakes. 5/5, would buy again!
