Bought this to ride on top of an expensive roll aboard and wasnt willing to pay a premium for the matching tote. This is attractive, roomy, sturdy (after several car and plane trips) and fits easily under an airline seat. My only complaint with this, and just about any tote sold for travel, is that the interior is black thus making sure that many items virtually disappear into the darkness in dim airline lighting.
