This whimsical umbrella is sure a lot of fun, the ruffles are adorable. It is pretty wide that it will give you good coverage from the rain or the sun. Its also light and opens and closes easily. The only thing I wasnt too stoked on was the handle, it is plastic like pretty much every umbrella handle but the silver color doesnt;t really compliment it. Makes it look flimsier than it actually is, but that is a matter of personal preference and perception, I think. I do like that the handle is more ergonomic than the regular U shaped ones.

I like it easy to hold.

I love this umbrella - its fun and frilly and looks like a parasol. It is surprisingly well made. The mechanism that opens the umbrella is sturdier than expected and the metal support pieces for the umbrella are stronger than expected. Although I havent tried using this in a strong wind, I suspect that it will turn inside out - maybe not as easily as a cheaper umbrella - but it certainly wont withstand any significant wind. That said, it is good for keeping dry in a non-windy rain storm.

This is an adorable ruffled parasol, but be aware of the size when you order it: 45 inches wide is on the smaller side of non-compact umbrellas. I realize that sounds silly, but when you have an umbrella that isnt portable, you usually expect it to be a more like 48 inches. Somehow, I really feel the difference with those three inches.... this is definitely a one-person-only umbrella, where-as my other non-compact umbrellas can generally keep both me and my 7-year-old dry. The width shown on this listing is completely accurate -- just be aware that it may feel smaller than you expect. That said, youre probably not buying this because for its OH SO MASSIVE HUGE COVERAGE. Youre buying it because its ruffly and frilly and cute... and it delivers in that regard. :P
