I tried this in several places on a Prius using different methods of attachment. I shook the car as violently as I could and the device would not sound the alarm beyond an initial beep. The alarm gives a warning sound when first shaken or vibrated. That gives the thief time to locate and muffle the alarm. The reviews state that on a bicycle the alarm works when the bike is moved from a vertical position down to a horizontal. Hows that going to work for a Prius? It cannot be placed on the exhaust system directly. Heat in excess of 500°F would melt the plastic case and the circuits. There are better alarms some available on Amazon for catalytic converter protection.

The alarm works well. The instructions however are another story. Very poor translation to english. It took me several read-throughs to completely understand how to program the unit with sensitivity adjustments, etc.

Great Product; very loud

I use these on my motorcycle. They will not keep someone from stealing your bike, but they will make a lot of noise which might cause a thief to choose an easier target. These small alarms can be paired to the same key fob. They all arm and disarm with one touch of the fob. I have these alarms in several places on my bike. If you touch my bags, handle bar or seat you get a warning to step away. A second touch causes the alarm to sound. The alarms are not ear splitting but they are loud enough to bring attention to what is going on. These alarms could easily be used for other applications as well. I am amazed at the quality vs. price. I have had one of these on my bike for over one year and it still works great. Once I figured out that I could pair more alarms to the fob, I added more units while using the original fob. These things are great. Terry from Texas

Works great. Any Deterrent makes the bad guy move on.

Used this for miter saw and table saw. Will purchase for lawnmower also. Bought 2 one seems as if battery was low but other than that I recommend this for contractors .
