Greater than one weekThe real beauty of this product is that it has a flux-rosin core so after you sand and clean the joint there is no need for additional flux. Less mess and fumes and really great soldered joints. If you do much soldering, then I would recommend that you try this brand. I think that you will like it!

> 3 dayI got this solder to use with my electronics and ham radio projects. When I used it, I liked that it melted easily and flowed smoothly. It’s solder, so there isn’t much else to say, but it does the job and seems to be fine. One thing to keep in mind is that solder that contains lead works better but should never be used where it will come in contact with food or drinking water. So, this product is great for electronics but should not be used for plumbing purposes.

> 3 dayPLEASE NOTE: There are multiple items / sizes available from this listing. Amazon places all reviews from these multiple items in this one place. The item that I received and am reviewing is wyunway Solder Wire 63/37 Tin/Lead with Flux Rosin Core 0.8mm (0.032 inch) For 25 years my job was to sit at an electronics repair bench and make broken equipment work again. I’ve used a fair amount of solder during my lifetime as I still do some repair work today. I’ve noticed that my stock of heavier gauge general electronics solder was getting depleted. How nice to find this .032 solder just when I needed it. Now to test it and see how well it works. And the answer is: it works very well indeed. I tinned 2 wires initially for part of my testing. The pictures are below. The grey insulated wire with the silver looking strands always tins well as it did with this solder. The brown lamp cord has been stripped for the past few years so air has gotten to it and tarnished it slightly. This is a more difficult test. If the rosin flux is a good quality, even this slightly tarnished wire should tin properly. And indeed it did. I soldered some components on a circuit board and also tried some solder wicking braid on the parts I just soldered. Everything worked just fine. I’m quite pleased with this solder and can highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI solder electronics all the time and this is the size thickness you need for low heat and easy flow.

Greater than one weekThis 63/37 tin/lead 0.8 mm diameter solder flows and works perfectly. The rosin core is exactly what is needed to prepare electrical surfaces for solder to bond to them. This is the exact product needed for minor repairs of replacing components broken from circuit boards and similar projects.

> 3 dayExcellent Quality and yes, there is lead, but that lead solders better This flux core wire solder contains poisonous lead. It must not be used where the lead will be exposed to people or animals. The lead makes it easier to solder in those really tricky SMD or tiny spots on circuit boards where you must not apply heat for too long. The lead makes it easier to get super thin joints that do not easily flow all over the circuit board ruining it. I am not producing necessary RoHS compliant electronic products. I am a hobbyist. I have a flux smoke absorber on my electronics work bench and so should you.
