> 3 dayThis umbrella is your standard rain umbrella size. You can tuck it in your purse. The opacity on this is great though! Its a blackout umbrella. On a hot day with no shade this will come in very handy. Its not too expensive at $17. I tried to see the ceiling light through it, but I could not. I cannot attest to how it performs in rain. I specifically got this for protection from the sun. I would get this again.

> 3 dayThis is a quality umbrella with good bones. The fabric material is thicker than most umbrellas so it has that higher end feel. Single button to open and close. Width is 38.5. My only complaint is once the umbrella is closed, it takes some strength to push it back to the fold position. I have carpal tunnel and weak hands so I had to push with my arm against a hard table.

> 3 dayUmbrella serves its purpose. I opens pretty forcefully and is hard to retract the handle when closing. Upon trying to close the umbrella for the first time, I didnt realize how much force it was going to take to push the handle back into retracted position. When I failed to push the handle back properly, it shot back and punched me in the stomach. Which was equally painful and hilarious. Dont recommend having the handle aimed toward your body. (Maybe they could figure out a way to market this for self-defense). Lesson learned and will be closing by applying pressure against the floor.

Greater than one weekI wanted a compact, heavy duty umbrella to keep in my car. The rain and storms here can be very strong and random with strong wind and rain looking like it goes sideways. This umbrella feels sturdy and heavier than your average umbrella. It only has one button, used to open and close. When pushed to open, it opens quickly right away with no need to click it in place. When pushed to close, it just folds the petals back in and you need to manually push it down. Pushing it down does take a good amount of effort but it feels like thats the tradeoff for its sturdiness and being windproof.

> 3 dayIt would be very difficult not to rate this umbrella 5 stars. Everything about it screams quality. Honestly, if you didnt know it was made in China youd think Germany or maybe the UK or somewhere they take umbrellas seriously. The canopy is made from Polyester and the main shaft and the inner part of each of the ribs are made of steel. The outer part of each rib are made from fiberglass. As you can see from my picture, there are also springs, tension arms, rivets, connectors.... its made from about 2 or 3 times as many parts as the cheap umbrellas I own. I suppose that might mean more opportunities for failure, but it all just seems well crafted. It springs open at the press of a button, and the top part collapses again with another press. One thing about this..once youve pressed the button to close it, you need to compress it all the way down again and fully close before re-opening. This is because some of the control cords inside the shaft area dont go back in until you do and so it wont lock out. Not a real issue, but something to know. It does take some force to close it fully again, but I dont find it an issue. If I were going to try to find fault its that the little black sleeve it comes with will just kind of fall off. It has no way to keep it closed. It would have been nice if it had a drawstring. Also, I found it slightly difficult to get the umbrella compressed down to its original diameter where the tab can wrap around it fully to engage the velcro. There is also no vent for wind if thats important to you. But overall, this is a high quality umbrella and feels like it will last a long time. Im quite pleased with it. I will update this review if anything changes. Like, subscribe...oh, wait. Thats something else....
