Working great on PS5, using an EZDIY-FAB M.2 SSD 2280 heatsink.

Fantastic, would recommend 100%. However do not purchase with anything else from Amazon. It will be shipped an unpadded envelope along with other orders. Yikes....

I couldn’t ask for anything more, this item even came with thermal protective tape and a heat shield cover. The M.2 drive worked without any issues inside of my PlayStation 5. Great product especially for the price.

UPDATE: My initial review below was for the 512 Gig version on a Z390 PCIE3 system. Since then, I have upgraded to a Z690 PCIE4 system and was looking to update to some faster NVME cards as well as replace a Platter HD. So I was only looking for Cheap and faster than what I had. The second image is the PCIE3 NVME drive I am replacing for reference. This was on sale and the cheapest/ best performance that I could find. Great Bang for the Buck. Keep in mind that the Read/Write speeds vary depending on the size NVME that you get. Typically the larger the drive the better the write speeds. Original Review: I got this to help in testing of external hardware. I needed a fast Gen 4 NVMe drive and this has been working great. I have an external SSD enclosure capable of 40 Gb/s which as a theoretical maximum allows up to 5000 MB/s which will never be achieved. What I did notice is this drive performed better on my Thunderbolt 4 port over my Thunderbolt 3 port. 2 different systems. I am not sure why the performance difference between the TB3 and TB4 ports since the TB port specs are the same. This is a good HD as it will work in your PCIe Gen 3 slot, (but only up to the 3000 MB/s speeds) until you get a newer system with a PCIe Gen4 slot which will give you max speed from this HD. Good price and performance for the price.

I think this XPG Atom 50 is good SSD as long as it is installed on a PCIe 4.0 only motherboard or laptop. I would not recommend this SSD drive for people who wants to install it to PCIe 3.0 only motherboard or laptop. My laptop only supports PCIe 3.0 and although this SSD is supposed to be backward compatible to PCIe 3.0 board I encountered system instability, constant stuttering and freezes even after fresh install of windows 11 to my laptop. I suspected that the preinstalled firmware version 1.2.3.P is not working well with PCIe 3.0 boards. By the way there is no firmware update on this drive as the firmware version 1.2.3.P is the only ad the most current version as of this writing on 10.1.2022. I urge Adata please update the firmware for this drive to be fully compatible and to improve the system stability for PCIe 3.0 boards. Anyway, I wanted to keep this drive but I cant. Had to return it to get something else.
