The keyboard itself is absolutely stunning. The switches are swappable and Im using the banana split switch demonstrated in my video.

Got this after reading some suggestions for budget hotswappable keyboards (upgraded from an old Razer blackwidow). Overall very pleased with the board! Feels great coming down from full size; saved me a lot of desk space but doesnt feel too small either. The yellow switches have a nice feel and ok sound with everything stock. I will say I was drawn in by the RGB lighting and it looks amazing. Im not really into bright rainbow barf lighting so I usually have it on white or blue.

I bought this keyboard with the intent of modding it, but it really didnt need that much modding. The stabilizers were wobbly, but clipping the stems and band-aid modding them fixed that. The stabilizers came prelubed and it looks like they did a good job with that. The PBT keycaps are actually really nice. Decently thick for the price and they have a nice texture to them. The RGB is actually amazing. The case really does a good job at diffusing the lights. Software is barebones, but allows you to set the keyboard to 1000hz polling rate, which is nice. There is a bit of pinging, and I believe its coming from the Gateron Yellow switches, but I dont notice it until a few days later. Lubing all the switches should fix this (which I might end up doing). Switches feel nice to type and game on. I did end up doing a few mods to improve the sound and feel, but if you just wanna buy the keyboard and use it, you totally can. I only really recommend clipping and band-aid modding the stabilizers. The keyboard is truly nice to look at.

The Fn + (x) to change the rgb settings does not function at all. There is effectively no way to change the rgb except for downloading sketchy 3rd party Chinese software, but even then you cant change the border lights.

I absolutely love this keyboard. It’s super customizable on its own when it comes down to the RGB, BUT I found an application that has already created patterns for it, and let me tell you, it’s dope! See for yourself in my video!

Im just entering the world of mechanical keyboards and customizing them. The Womier (Gamakay) K87 is a WONDERFUL starter board. It would have been perfect on its own. The sound is great and the feel is sooo smooth, but I chose to swap out the keycaps to pudding caps, lubed the switches and added some dampener rings because I wanted it to be good for my quiet office setting. Its working out perfectly!

I think it’s a great product just some switches came broken my D F E Keys would either not work or j not read sometimes but after some custom switches were put in worked great

It’s fun. I’m not a gamer but I work from home and school from home and it makes office work enjoyable
