High quality product for those times when you need immediate backup power - without either the time or energy to recharge. Plug in 3 AA batteries and you are set. Lithium works best for deep drain.

This is great to have in an emergency in case your primary batteries cannot be charged. It provides at least some power to the unit although broadcast power is reduced. Other than that it works as advertised and is of good construction. I recommend having one.

A good way to provide power to radios with rechargeable batteries. Will buy more in time.

I thought that it would make the radio (FD2DR) significantly wider compared to the normal rechargeable battery, but they are almost the same size. It secures to the radio just as well as the normal battery does, and works as advertized. The radio (well atleast on mine) gives you a battery power level read off on the screen the same as it does with the normal battery.
