Greater than one weekIf you want this for a pretty furoshiki gift wrap this isnt it. The other side needs to be hidden. If you want it for a kitchen towel, you would not want this. The fabric does not absorb. It would be nice for a place mat. For carrying lunch it would be fine. The cloth has substantially thick threads running across it for an uneven (not smooth) look. The fabric doesnt feel nice. Since I bought it for furoshiki gift wrap presentation, I have to say that I didnt like it at all. I will throw it out. Its a bit thick for a pretty furoshiki look. The design is cute and it is true to size.

> 3 dayI received this as a gift, and I absolutely love it! The colors are much more vibrant in person, and as such, the brilliant little fireflies really add a lot of charm and life to the scene. Its just barely big enough for wrapping some of the larger bento boxes that I own, which is good, as I worried it would be too small when I put it on my birthday list (I put it on anyways, as I have several smaller boxes, and the design is so cute!).

20-11-2024The product itself is lovely. Nice textured cloth and beautiful graphic. The irony is that is was crammed into the mailing envelope...all wadded up and not neatly folded. For a cloth that is meant to make gifts beautiful, it seemed so wrong for it to arrive unlovely!

Greater than one weekThis furoshiki is pretty good quality, not thin or quick fading but a medium weight with a bit of texture to the weave. I suspect it will last a while, certainly in better shape than our very first, thin Daiso ones. I do not recommend the thin fabrics for regular wrapping. I had to get this as soon as I saw it--the shop printed on it reminded me very, very much of one in Nara, near the deer park and in the trees. My husband and I went in on a windy autumn day to have some kitsune udon and ginger spiced amazake. A deer kept trying to peek inside. This is one of my most favorite memories. I bought it around the 4th year anniversary of that trip, wanting to give my husband an every autumn reminder of that time. I use furoshiki over lunch containers. Originally I did this for security to ensure the lid stayed on but the habit stayed with most containers. It makes them look nicer and adds a touch of extra care for loved ones.
