> 24 hourThe wire is 5 stars too. We use it for heavier and high amperage equipment. It is handy to have 3 plug ends as often there are other equipment needing to be plugged at the same time. There is a light in it to indicate when the wire is live.

> 24 hourHigh ampacity w/ what seems very durable insulation to protect the inner copper on the job site. I love using this w/ YJ 2884 ext cord to enable me to set up all my power tools in one location w/ just the one 2884 home run run to the pwr source. I should have gotten this years ago so I wouldnt be swapping out pwr cords between the table, chop, and jig saws. 12 gauge copper in the 2882 / 4 to reduce voltage drop between the pwr source and your tools. This allows your tools to run at rated pwr w/ less current draw thus making them last longer. I believe in buying quality and using it for many, many years. You spend more up front but save money over the long haul by making things last longer and saving you time by not having things break down as often. Time is money....

> 24 hourThis is the perfect mate for any Yellow Jacket 12/3 15-Amp Contractor Extension Cord. I keep them handy anywhere Im using contractor extension cords. In most cases, you can buy whatever length 12/3 15-Amp cord you need along with this 2-foot splitter cheaper than you can buy a cord made with the splitter end. It is rugged and the bold product description is accurate. Regardless of how well I have planned a job, for some mysterious reason which probably can be traced back to the creation of man, I will need more power. In my case, the need for one more tool at the work sight is a given right up to the point where the job is completed and the clean up begins. And one more tool means that Ill need more power and another plug-in. This 2-foot lighted power block affords this luxury at a bargain. It is good to know the amps and voltage you need and how much you are losing through the cord right up front. In any job, whether were talking money, time, materials, tools or power, always plan for overruns and for more than you think you will need. You will not be sorry. In a medium-duty extension cord with #14 gauge wire with 15A rating, you will lose 9.1V or 7.6% of your power in 100 feet of cord. In a heavy-duty extension cord like this Yellow Jacket with #12 gauge wire with 15A rating, you will lose only 5.7V or 4.8% of your power in 100 feet of cord. In any given cord gauge size and amps, voltage drop is directly porpotional to the length of cord. A 100-foot cord has twice the voltage drop as a 50- foot cord. A 50-foot cord has twice the voltage drop as a 25-foot cord. The longer the cord, the more voltage that is lost. As always, more power to you.
