Greater than one weekI had to use a pair of pliers to get to the top to twist. Now the top is damaged. (For reference, I am 6’4” and weigh 250.)

> 3 dayBought for 36 oz rambler bottle, because the lid it comes with isn’t great for coffee sipping. This lid is a great substitute, leak proof, sturdy, and will allow your coffee to stay hot while you sip. You can disassemble the lid by unscrewing the centerpiece, and clean the inner part.

Greater than one weekFirst off the body of this thing is HEAVY relative to a Hydroflask or Zojirushi. Its made with heavyweight stainless thats highly resistand to drops or cruching forces. The amount of vacuum between the walls keeps this hot/cold for long periods of time. The only negative is the lid assembly. First of all its heavy too, made from all plastic, no metal, and a couple rubber gaskets. The entire center section threads away from the main body, which has the threads molded to fit into the bore of the stainless container. You twist the center knob about a queater turn until you feel resistance. This is the open position which allows fluid to flow ANYWHERE around the circumference of the lid. Turn it to the left again, passing the resistance and it comes completely apart for cleaning. Be aware that as you use this it can be comfusing wether its open or not because you cant tell just by looking at it. There are NO MARKINGS indicating open/closed.

> 3 dayThis has made my yeti a much more enjoyable coffee experience. I used to have the big handled cap that you had to completely unscrew and often had hot molten liquid splash all over my face. I kicked the bottle to the curb (or a corner of my cabinet) and moved on. Then, I recently saw this and decided to try it again. Its proved extremely handy. You cant take huge gulps, but its a very nicely measured sip. The only other tweek is that after pouring freshly hot coffee in I totally open the cap and swirl the coffee for a few minutes. This lets it cool down enough to drink and I can confidently sip from it all morning. The double walled yeti bottle and this top keep freshly brewed coffee at about the same broiling temp it was poured at for an hour or more before cooling down at all ! Its real easy to get burned when coffee stays that hot, but its a pretty awesome bottle/cap combo! Just be mindful.

> 3 dayI had no issues with this for about a year, but I noticed a couple days ago the plastic where it screws in is deteriorating, not sure how? Its just sort of chipping off. I also noticed a smell from the lid, when I looked closer I realized mold had been growing in the creses of where it screws together, so I cleaned it really well with a brush, but unfortunately that smell is still there.

> 3 daySo I have had the Yeti 18oz Rambler for a while, but have not used it as much as I would have liked because when I have put coffee in it and used the screw top lid, it always drips condensation (and coffee) everywhere ... especially annoying when driving. Just purchased the Hot Shot Cap and put it through the test. Easy to clean ( you can completely unscrew the middle part). No leaks (the last pic is real ... there is coffee in there still!). Cannot believe how a small accessory can make me so happy.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this kid for my yeti cups. The lids that come on them (with the carry handle) always got stuck with the pressure difference caused by the heat or cold. Not with this. I also like how you can drink hotter than usual coffee from it because of the speed of the coffee coming out.
