23-11-2024The magnet on this spice rack was unbelievably strong. I actually purchased it to put my essential oils in but I could load it with my glass spice jars and it held just fine! My only negative would be that they are two different sizes. one is just slightly smaller than the other. It is a great product though!!!

> 3 dayIve wanted to organize my three shelf spice cupboard for ages. I tried small metal tins with magnets on the back, but they only accommodated spices from the smaller containers. Also they had to be opened to get any spice out, which was difficult because the spice got into the threads and made it almost impossible to turn the lid. I tried larger magnetic spice tins with a sprinkling side and a scooping side. They didnt have threads on the lids, but spice still got down between the lid and the tin, making them hard to turn. The cook in our family (my husband) hated both options. The problem with our spice cupboard was that you couldnt see what spice you had unless it was right at the front of the shelf. Otherwise, you had to pull everything out on the counter to find anything. I hated that, so I looked at actual spice racks, but none of them seemed deep enough to handle larger containers. Then I found this set of four magnetic shelves. I was so eager to see if they would work that I opened the box and headed straight for the kitchen. The first thing I found was that they are deep enough for everything except the largest canister or fat round things like my bulk salt. The next thing I discovered is that the magnets are super strong, which you will find out for yourself if you happen to do what I did and put two of them back to back. I almost didnt get them separated. Once I had all four of the shelves positioned on the side of the fridge, I unloaded that spice cupboard as quickly as I could. As you can see in my pictures, I have loaded these shelves to the max. Important to know is that, even with everything Ive put on them, the magnets hold them strongly enough that I have trouble trying to move them slightly to adjust their position on the fridge. I mean they really hold tight! I have no fear that they will suddenly give way due to the weight of all I have stored on them. The racks are about 4 deep, black open mesh L-shaped metal shelves with front and side guard rails that keep the contents from sliding off. The magnets run the entire length of the shelf and are about 2 high. And did I mention how strong they are? Certainly if you need a place to organize your spices, or anything that could be stored this way, in my opinion you cant go wrong with this set of spsice racks.

> 3 daySo, good news is these will hold all the spice for a solid price, and /actually/ hold them. I stuck these all over my fridge to test the magnet and pulling straight back or down the fridge would lean a bit before these let go and the fridge door would open first. A little twisting though and theyll release easily enough, as I would expect. Might be a bit of a concern if these were in a high traffic area and might get bumped a lot, they might fall off. Otherwise Id be shocked if these come down because of the spices loaded in them. The magnets are simply glued to the back of these. The glue holds well to my trying to muck with it to see how stuck they are, but if you stick these somewhere with enough heat and humidity that glue /might/ fail. I was able to get it to peel up a tiny bit with some effort. It stuck back in place though afterwards. I dont expect the glue will come apart easily, but like any glued anything heat and humidity will shorten its bond-life, so I feel its worth keeping in mind. I wouldnt have these right over the stovetop or sink/dishwasher for example. I mean, if the glue does fail, nothing stopping re-gluing it. Also worth noting: These have full-length and height of the back-sized magnets. Kudos for that! Used to these things having a couple dinky circle magnets or something. These would definitely be way, way more awful if they didnt use these full-sized magnet backs. So, magnetism, yay! Construction little disappointed but not shocked that one of these already had a welded joint broken when I though to try bending a few to see if the metal was of good quality too. For the most part it took some effort for me to bend any of these bars by hand to any significant degree. None of the other welded spots gave out. This one might just have been missed and not welded at all though, I cant even get the two ends together without needing to bow the lose wire quite a bit. I honestly got these mostly for some lighter tool storage shelving in my work space, and paints, etc. Theyll work just fine for that too. The edges are a bit shorter than I envisioned, but theyll still retain spice jars and the like just fine. Id recommend maybe some non-slip pads for the spices to sit on. Im planning to do something like that to make sure stuff doesnt fall out myself. All in all, even with the broken spot well worth the money. Could be better, but not much more so for the price range.

> 3 dayI liked that I was able to magnetize to my refrigerator and fill with spices that were taking up lots of space in my cupboards. Now I can see them and I am able to stay organized.
