I have a big old 17 inch, heavy lap top and it fits in the back pocket perfectly. There is a lot of room in this sucker. If youre going on an overnight trip you can fit everything you need inside of it. The cable for charging the phone is very handy. Theres an audio cable too, but I dont use it. There are straps and pockets aplenty, and each side has a mesh net pocket that works great for water bottles. I cant comment on the waterproofness (is that a word?) of it b/c I havent taken it out in the rain. To be honest, I dont know if it claims to be waterproof or not. I can enthusiastically recommend this product.

I needed a new pack for my drawing supplies that I take with me. I have a large sketch pad. This has tons of room for it plus more. I could still put in my laptop, graphics tablet, all the cords needed, munchies, and even a few clothing items for a day or two. And theres still more room. Lots of cool little compartments.I also like the sturdy handle at the top. This was a steal at the price and Im more than happy with it..
