I have them mounted to a stud, and none of them fell after the 5.7 earthquake we had just short of 10 miles from our house. Since Ive had my game room, Ive been keeping my controllers in the black shelf you see in the attached picture. It was always a clustered mess. Worth every penny to get everything up and organizing. As you can see, you can shape these hooks to fit anything. And they are super grippy too, no worries about falls.

These are so much better than I imagined. We have all of the Nintendo and Xbox gaming systems - literally all of them. So we have all kinds of controllers that get left on the floor (kids suck). These not only look nice but they stand up to the small humans that live at my house, are easy to install, and controllers have never had a better home. We are ordering 8 more.
