> 3 dayI bought this to carry outside as a sun shade for my newborn daughter. It works great and doesn’t catch the wind nearly as bad as others I’ve had. It is a good height and size and the curved handle makes it easy to hook around my wrist while I carry her. The only semi negative thing I can say about it is that I got the light blue and to me it looks like more of a baby blue than what I thought it would be from the pictures.

> 3 dayThis is a very nice umbrella, just what I wanted but when I received it the handle was damaged. Debating on whether or not to return it.

Greater than one weekVery Mary Poppins like vibe with this thing. Its long and you cant but clank it on the ground as you walk with its curved handle. Dont buy the bamboo handle please. Thats panda food and theyre going extinct because us humans use up all their food.

> 3 dayJust this morning, as I was walking to work, this umbrella started to leak where the canopy part meets the stick part. There was a pretty good drip happening and my shoulder ended up soaking wet after ten minutes of walking in a steady rain.

> 3 dayI have not yet had the opportunity to use it in the rain, but it appears to be a well designed, sturdy umbrella. But there is a price to pay for the spring loaded auto-open feature: in order to close it, you have to overcome the pressure of that spring. A person with normal strength can accomplish this without too much effort. But I know that elderly people, whose muscles have atrophied, will struggle to close it. Add some arthritis in the fingers and hand and it will be impossible for them. For an elderly person, Id stick with the traditional unsprung umbrella mechanism. Also, the weight of this umbrella, about 20 oz (550 grams) could become tiresome for some if the distance is far. I remember my days living in a large city where Id carry a grocery bag on the hook end of the umbrella to distribute the weight of two bags more evenly. Bear that in mind.
