As a light source. Its what I used it for. For heat. Near water it dosent explode when bulb wet. Huge plus doesnt last as long as Id like. As ask the turtle he has it its on his house. Its not mine I just buy him stuff. He doesnt earn money.

I use only Repti Tuff bulbs for my red eared slider tank. These always work great and last a long time. Package always arrives on time.

Bought this Nov 27th. Burned out by Dec 14th. Very disappointed.

We have a turtle so the light bulb provides him the benefits of the sun.
