3 Aquatic Turtle bulbs cost a total of $28.52. However one of three lasted about 1470hrs 2 of 3 are dead after 7 months storage. I should have tested the 3 bulbs on arrival. I basically, thought that I got a better deal with buying 3 $28.52 for 1470 hrs of use is certainly a bad value. Seems the Zoo Med Repti Tuff Splashproof Halogen Lamps manufacture defective bulbs and have lacking quality control in place. Upon visual inspection, one can not see the defect. When one measures the resistance you can tell that there are defective. After contacting Zoo Med I learned that the warranty is for 3 months only. I would recommed buying the quantity needed at the time of order only to avoid anny issues.

Nothing exciting. They work like they should and my Turtle hadnt complained so they must be ok.

It was white light shown on the box & indicated “ Light Color White” on details, but its warm light, totally misleading!

As someone who has had other heat bulbs break into the water (a harrowing experience) when my turtle splashed them, I really appreciate the peace of mind I get using a splash proof heat bulb. I have seen these bulbs get splashed and I havent had one ever break. Ive been using only these splash proof heat bulbs for years for all my turtles, and they are well worth the investment. They also take a long time to burn out (usually well over a year). A few times I have bought bad batches that burned out after a few months, but customer service has always been very helpful and promptly sent free replacements. I highly recommend them.

I have not had any issues with these lights. That have lasted us a well. Would purchase again when we need to.
