This does exactly what they advertise. It’s surprisingly light weight given the magnet and stand. On another iPad it would feel too heavy, but the iPad Pro 12.9 is already a monster, so no biggie. The cover protects well on all sides, and the folding stand really is ingenious. I’ve bought other portfolios with great hopes and ending up not using them. This one works. I have in fact typed using the lowest position, and the stand doesn’t flap loose because of the magnet. The best thing about it is that you can fold it so your iPad is in the perfect position to sit on your belly when you watch a movie lying on your back. I know, “really? You’re THAT lazy?” But the pro gets heavy enough that your hands get tired holding it vertically for 2 hours. Very handy.

The only one that I have bought that stays up as it has magnetic groves to hold it up at different heights. Well made, and it has a place for my stylus on the back to help me not lose it when not being used. Wish they made it for my iPad mini.

I have had the older ZUGU case for about a year now. I went through 3 or 4 before I found the perfect case. I stared with the cases that would allow me to rotate between portrait or landscape, but it turns out that with a 12.9 Pro I just didnt use it in portrait mode, also the pivots in prior cases seemed to wear out so I dont miss being able to pivot my iPad. I use my iPad all day and then again, unwinding at home and I have to say it really is an amazing case. I have a dog that sheds all year round and I was worried after some reviews mentioned how the microfiber side of the case collects debris. I set it on my couch open and it’s not a magnet for hair like it thought it would be. It will pick up a few strands here and there, but not bothersome to me. The edge of my case doesnt have a little tab to help lift it so it gets used about 200 times a day plus in and out of my purse several times a day and is still in excellent shape. The stylus hold has stretched out a bit, but even with daily use it still holds my stylus tight and lets face it at $100 a pop for an Apple pen, thats an important feature to me. The only reason Im looking at this updated model is the rubber around my case is starting to get a tad stretched out in the middle of the long side. Im happy for now, but Ive got my eye on this case when the time comes to replace my current beloved ZUGU.
