The Zugu case is sturdy. It flips open from the right top section and has many groves to select how youd like the iPad to stand.

I ordered this case from Amazon after having been disappointed by a competitors case that was sold by the Apple store. What a difference! In quality, in construction, in ease of use, in security of handling, and in thoughtful design. The case grips the iPad securely. The cover seals the screen when closed. I especially like the pencil holder/charger. Im not concerned the pencil will accidentally fall off the case. This case is worth the extra dollars. The reviews have this case pegged as an excellent purchase, and I agree. Ill gladly by a ZUGU product again.

After paying $750 for a new iPad, I really agonized over which case to buy because paying over $25 bucks seemed like a lot of money. I didnt buy the Apple folio because it was expensive and didnt seem very protective. I spent hours poring over reviews and finally settled on this case even though it was more than I wanted to pay. I am delighted with this case. Its sturdy and convenient. My iPad snapped into place easily. No problems with the pen charger. Ive already dropped the device a few times (on carpet), and it was fine. The pen did pop out, so its good they provide an extra pocket where you can tuck away the pen for travel. I really like how there are 8 levels of adjustment so you can set the iPad up more ergonomically when typing, then adjust it up if you want to watch movies. When set to its highest position, its still very stable and wont collapse.

This case is great. I actually just think of it as the iPad since I never take it out. The big question I had was will it charge the Apple 2nd gen pencil. Yes it does a great job of doing that. I love how it molds around the pencil. No complaints

This is a very sturdy design and from what I experiences everything worked well, however, in just a few days it became apparent that this was not the case for me. The main issue was that it is just so darned heavy- its also ugly but I was willing to overlook that if everything else were right. But I could literally feel the difference in my briefcase - it was notable weight added in a briefcase where I carry a notebook computer, over the ear headset, a few pens and a small pad of paper. The iPAD alone added no noticeable weight to the same briefcase. Net, thats why I say if its a high risk situation- i.e. for wait staff, construction, etc. I think this would be a good case, but not good for me in an office and commuiting setting.
