Excellent first layer for needle felting!

I am new to needle felting and purchased this thinking it roving was all the same. This is a silky, lovely felt but not as easy for me to felt with. I was actually looking for carded wool slivers or core wool but didnt realize the difference at the time. This will be useful as I improve and I will most likely use it for the top coat of my felted animals.

You get a good quantity of clean soft wool, good enough to use not only as the core but to finish items

This wool is very delicate and takes a lot of maneuvering to make your base shapes. Other wools I have used are easier to get into a shape.

Great value for the money! I bought more after I ran out of the first box I bought. Its not as soft as merino wool but its perfect to use as core wool for needle felting.

I decided to teach myself a new skill (needle felting). I purchased this wool roving to use as a base for my projects, to build my shapes and then add color to it afterwards. It has been absolutely perfect for my needs! In is very soft and already nice and clean. There is surprisingly much more in the box than would be expected. I’ve barely made a dent in it so far! It’s so affordable! This is a 10 out of 10 I would recommend! Attached are photos of my first 3 projects using this wool roving to form the shapes and to blend some of the colors. This is perfect for if you are looking to try your hand at needle felting but don’t want to break the bank!

Soft, even colored. Perfect!

I use this for the core of my needle felting projects. It felts nicely and is more reasonably priced than the colored wool that I top it with so saves me money. There is a enough in the package for several projects.
