I always buy the extra thick roll of wrap from the warehouse clubs, and I need to leave it sitting out on my countertop. The box is not only unsightly, but it gets dirty and stained, it falls apart long before the plastic runs out, and the slider to cut the plastic wrap never stays put. This bamboo holder solved every one of those problems. It is neat and presentable, it can be wiped down and cleaned easily, it is sturdy and stable, has a solid wooden dowel to hold the heavy roll of wrap, and the cutting slider is glued into a groove on the lid--that is going nowhere! I had always scoffed and dismissed these bamboo boxes and organizers, but now that I have this, and a couple others, I am really happy to own them. Are they necessary? No, but they make my kitchen look neater and cleaner, and that gives me a little mental boost. Cant ask for more than that--something that inexplicably makes you happy.

It’s perfect, just what I was looking for. I was a little concerned when I’ve read a review that the roll of wrap rolls too loosely because of the wooden rode came with the box is small. However, I customized the original KirkLand plastic wrap rode by sanding the back ends of it to fit into the box perfectly.

This is a very high quality product and I greatly appreciate that it works tremendously well to store wrap and to wrap up leftovers. If I had a larger kitchen, then this would be a welcome addition to my countertop. As is, it is fairly large and isnt ideal for anyone with a small kitchen or who already have lots of items on their countertops. It is now stored in a cupboard, much as I would store the boxes of wrap, so its utility is a bit diminished. That said, if you have room for it in your kitchen and use aluminum foil or plastic wrap a lot to save food, then it is absolutely worth the money and you wont be disappointed.

This extra large wrap dispenser is very nice, and fits a very large capacity roll and has a dowel rod instead of having the roll just sit in the box. It works well for 12 inch wide material. With the dowel it dispenses very smoothly the whole time, which is very nice. The hinges to open it have stop to keep the lid propped when changing out the roll.
