Work just as good as a low temp plates

This press requires specialized 10,000psi hydraulic fittings, 1/4in is the connection used in conjunction w the hand pump they offer with a built in pressure guage. if using a foot treadle and air compressor then you will need to buy special 3/8th to 1/4 reducer and have some mechanical know-how to put together the press and acheive a functional state. IMO this would have saved me a ton of time and effort trying in vein with inadequate fittings from home depot if theyd all been included... thus a minor hidden cost exists to achieve functionality. Those home depot ntp connectors exploded in a dangerous way and the machine spewed out its hydraulic fluid everywhere couple different times. Only use items rated for 10k psi!!! Top off or fill your pump w fresh hydraulic fluid and bleed it as per instructions before use. All these connectors and pressure guages, needle valve to hold pressure, and pump should be standard included accessories and their prices built into the actual cost. I ended up spending over $300 ontop of this presss cost just for it to function. Should come paired with a kit of everything required for the machine to function straight out of the box along with a video demo of setup and recommended parameters to produce The recommended temperatures are a little high and the yield on my 6 month old flower was much lower than I expected. Mind the total time the material is held under max pressure with heat bc extra time sitting on the plates or wrong temp can degrade terpene profile. I Yielded approx .5 gram from half ounce flower when I managed to run it before the hydraulic line broke on me which was quite disappointing results of the dark colored product compared to the light and infinately juicey results seen coming out of pressed on youtube. 10,000psi components only!!! Will update this review after I have a go at making live flower and live hash rosin... Update, after having thought this press was the best way to extract my entire harvest I now realize that rosin pressing of flower in general is too inefficient a method of concentrate production and second presses cant collect the last bits stuck to the filter bags and stuff so I have been forced to investigate solvent methods.

This press is one of the best purchases Ive made to date! I did my research before buying, making sure that I had a reliable machine to make my medicinal concentrates with. The build quality is undeniably among the best. Dont let the aluminum frame fool you, its rugged and strong. The hardware is of the more expensive variety and keeps everything together rock solid. The plates are anodized aluminum. This is probably the best material for pressing plates. Some people say aluminum is soft and will warp from heat stress. The anodization process hardens the aluminum to eliminate these concerns while also maintaining the superior thermal properties of aluminum. The controller is pretty basic, using two PID units to control two heat rods in the plates. Nothing too fancy, but it works. Why change simple if it works? The one complaint I have is that the hydraulic hand pump is not included, but its not enough to take a star off, although the pump was out of stock when I ordered. This is actually a plus, however, as you can build your own pump with gauge for likely cheaper, and it doesnt raise the cost of the press itself. However, once their branded pump was back in stock, I went with that option. It would be nice if the gauge on the pump could show you the PSI at the puck, but the design means the gauge only shows the pressure in the hydraulic line. Its not super difficult to do the math to figure out the actual PSI, but a bit of a hassle. Since I have no idea if a gauge could display PSI at the puck, and especially in this price range, then I dont consider that reason to remove a star either. It may just be the nature of the beast. Ive only pressed a few small nugs so far, but the results were better than expected. The quality obtainable with a beginners level of skill makes me very excited to see what its capable of once I improve! One of the best presses around!

I purchased this a month ago to replace my nug smasher mini. Best decision made yet! Ive squished fire out of this press already and its so simple with the hand pump. Makes it easy to maintain and apply small amounts of pressure. Love it!

The box they shipped in wasnt packed well and the press shifted around. Luckily no problems so far. Out of the box, the press is quite nice, plates line up and everything works. Well see how she fairs after a year of use. But so far the quality seems real nice. And for the price, I hope for longevity, as this is quite the deal, compared to other companies.

Heavy duty aluminum and great construction. Works flawlessly and ive really gotten to enjoy its operation. My only Con is that i think at this price it could come with a pump and gauge. Otherwise great! Dab Press support is stellar and they do stand behind their offerings.

1.) The value of this rising press is great right now but dont know why its so cheaper than when I bought it when I bought it it was at $769.00 and I even bought the bundle with the pump which 2.) The pump leaks where the hose and the pump connects. 3.) Something has to be out of place or whooped on it because now its ripping the parchment paper and Im barely hitting six tons. And here comes 4.) The heat pins The regulators that heat up the press plates slide in and out easily which fluctuates my heat consistently which leads me with a non-consistent yield or batch.

Love this press, great product for the money. Plates heat right up and provide a nice yield. It did take some time to set up the hand pump with a pressure gauge (see YouTube video) but they work great together.
