> 3 dayThese plugs are easy to use since they are solder-less. However, the male plugs suffer from an extremely poor and dangerous design flaw. The center positive contact metal flares outward and ends up at the most outer-tip of the entire plug. Consequently, unless you carefully align the plug with the female socket, you will most likely touch the outer, negative contact on the socket side with the positive metal flare before pushing the plug all the way in. Now, this would not be a problem if the device to be powered works in isolation, since its ground is floating before a power supply is connected. IT WILL BE A PROBLEM if you have devices that are connected, therefore share the ground reference. I made a split cable with these plugs to power an industrial computer and a camera that was connected to the computer via usb. When I first plugged in the computer, everything worked fine (as argued above). Little did I know that this now created a fire hazard for me since the camera now has defined ground reference via the USB cable. When I tried to plug the power in for the camera, sparks flew in my face because the metal flare was shorting +12V (plug side) with 0V ground (socket side) from a 480W power supply. I was in shock since I wasnt expecting it, and tried to plug in the power again, and sure enough, sparks flew again, which was when I realized this problem. Whats worse, the return path of this short-circuit was via the usb cable. Depending on the design and quality of the devices and cables, this could have ended in the cable catching on fire, or the port on the camera or the computer blowing out. I was lucky that I didnt have to repair or replace a computer that costs hundreds of dollars, a camera that costs thousands of dollars, or to deal with a fire on my hand, all because of a 70 cents poorly designed plug. Get those with cylindrical plastic tips instead!

> 3 dayI was able to connect a solar panel to my patio lights using this connector. I love the fact that you do not need to do any soldering. Completed the job in less than 15 minutes.

> 3 dayI used these connectors to add an outside low power line for an outdoor camera and they are easy to connect the thin power cables on both ends.
