Greater than one weekIt was very easy to install. Obviously only two wires to connect, positive and negative. For some reason, while the car is shut down, the voltage is very steady at 12.8-13.4. While the car is running, the voltage varies up and down erratically, but at too low of a voltage to charge an IPhone. Once I turn off the car, it steadies and a phone can be plugged in. I was able to figure out why the voltage was not steady. I had the positive lead from the lighting circuit of the old cigar lighter powering the unit. Once I switched to the cigar lighter positive lead, the USB charger worked as it should. I changed the review from 1 star.to 4 stars. The voltage indicator LEDs are brighter than I would prefer, otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.

> 3 dayI’ve replaced and added several of these usb charger with volt meter units to both of my early 1990’s era Volvo station wagons. These chargers are so useful. I don’t know why people aren’t replacing all of the old fashioned 12v barrel plugs that used to house cigarette lighters with these more practical and useful chargers. They’ve been so great I’m adding another one or two for my rear seat passengers in both cars.

Greater than one weekI replaced one the 12V outlets on my Mule Pro-FXR with this. Very easy and quick to install by removing the center dash rivets. Took around 5min, and was completely plug and play. No wiring to adjust.
