Greater than one weekThese are acrylic paint markers so they do not dry instantly like oil-based paint markers and aren’t ment for all surfaces . But the quality of paint and how opaque they are is awesome! Great vibrant colors that actually match the cap color. They last a good while as well. Just remember to shake them up before each use.

> 3 dayI have tried a number of different brands of paint markers for rock painting, but Posca is simply the best. Every time I try a cheaper marker, I regret it. Posca has great opaque colors that will cover other colors, strong nibs and the paint lasts forever. I have passed my older Posca markers on to the kids in my neighborhood to use on rocks, and Im amazed that the paint has not run out in any of them except the white. Almost a dozen kids use them a couple times a week and they have lasted well over a year under that heavy use. I only wish Posca refill paint was available for the black and white markers.

> 3 dayThis is about as good as it gets for a high quality acrylic water based marker. Ive used and abused many high quality acrylic markers and nothing compares to the Uni-POSCA PC series for quality versus price. Posca ink is world renowned for its silky smooth, slightly chalky finish, not to mention the high opacity. These markers are excellent on paper, canvas, wood, plastic, glass, or metal, and just about any smooth dry surface can be painted. Really smooth surfaces such as plastic may need a slight scuffing with a high grit sandpaper to ensure proper paint adherence. Rough surfaces will work in some cases, but tend to eat up the nib and require more ink for complete coverage. One coat is usually suffice, but I like to apply two coats to smooth out any uneven areas, with at least ten minutes of drying time between coats. Several light coats of a matte acrylic clear coat will ensure permanency as well for long term archival of projects.

Greater than one weekI’m usually happy with UNI posca markers , this set I got was terrible used it 3 times to write a small chalkboard and it’s the ink has become sheer and you can barely see the print … it’s almost like it’s not authentic …

> 3 dayEn definitiva son muchisimo mejores que la marca Sharpie si quieres personalizar cualquier tipo de artículo. Lo malo es que debes de darle varias capas de pintura y sellarlo lo mas rápido posible porque si no, se torna un poco turbio el color.

> 3 dayOne of my Illustration students told me about Posca markers. I loved the brilliance of the colors and the solid shapes made possible with these markers. Bought them for my granddaughter to decorate a wall in her bedroom ( with parents blessing, of course!). I hope they work. No info at all except in Japanese, which makes perfect sense because they are from Japan. Still challenging to discern instructions. The felt pen tips are white and dry, I assume one simply presses and strokes the pen until the ink saturates it. Ive not done that because they are a gift and I dont want to mail them having been opened up for fear they might leak or dry out. They look great. I hope they work. A little guidance would have been welcome.

> 3 dayI really love Uni-POSCA paint markers! I got these in a bold chisel tip so I could make signs for a school carnival. I was able to get bold and gorgeously opaque coloring that really stood out on a black background. I finished them with a quick spray of poly acrylic spray paint so it wouldnt run or smear and it lasted a very long time. Ive attached a photo of a fun little craft project I did with black cardstock. The colors layer very well as long as you let them dry completely between layers. They do dry quickly so it makes blending hard. If you want a soft blended look acrylic paint is better than these paint pens. Lettering with these is a breeze and since its a chisel tip you can get varying line widths depending on how you hold the markers. It does take a little while to get the ink flowing. I do all of the colors as soon as I get it so that Im not wasting time getting the ink to flow in the middle of a project. I wish some colors like the white and peach were more opaque. The white, as pictured, leaves marker strokes which I dont like. Overall this is a great set though! Will be buying thes for life.
