I spent a week trying to get my V3 Pro on my network, only to find out it was this cable that’s not compatible.

I cant recommend this product at all. I was excited to use this for a home automation project. Instead, I was greeted by the sight of copper with no USB end. It looks like little quality control on these, as I cant imagine how it would leave the factory without the end of the USB wire. There was no USB even in the bag, so it wasnt like it was damaged in transit. Id find something else, as others have said in their reviews, which I should have been more thorough in researching prior to purchase. There are clear issues with charging or working with devices, so it is likely due to poor quality control.

I set-up a Wyze Cam at front entry. To get power to it without looking like crap I drilled a hole next to door frame as a conduit for the USB cable. Finishing touches include white caulking for inside and gray caulking for outside of said hole. And Because the cable color closely matched my baseboard moulding, used small dots of gorilla glue every few feet along door frame and top of moulding to hold it fast. The cable has pretty much disappeared into the moulding. In short the Mrs. is happy. I was impressed with this cables ability to carry 5V this far. In fact, I tried a 25 cable originally planning to go a different route. The camera worked great with that cable too. I have personal experience designing and sizing conductors for devices requiring 5VDC and let me tell you distance is not your friend.

Solid cable. No issues to date.
