I do like older Thinkpads and have my T440p in a docking station with a couple monitors. A docking station requires more power than a standard 90 watt power brick. This item does the trick. So nice to see that older Thinkpads are still supported by 3rd party accessory manufacturers.

Works well as a backup/garage power supply for my Lenovo P1. The adapter that came with the laptop was 230W, but this 170W is more than enough for 95% of my computer usage. Construction, materials, fit and finish, wire feel, everything feels very close to the actual Lenovo parts.

I once received a laptop that needed this size AC charger but didnt have one. I gave it to a friend who also repairs computers. When I saw this one, I grabbed it. I didnt want to be without one if I ever needed one again. However this did come in handy when working on some older ThinkPads. I have several older (10 to 12 years old) laptops I keep around for specific task and parts. They dont get used much and had not been charged in a while. Depleted batteries tend to overwork standard chargers (make them extra warm) when they finally do get charged up. This having more wattage (but the same voltage) than the old chargers do it never broke a sweat. Now, I have one on hand and something to charge up old depleted ThinkPads.

I have the power supply that came with my Lenovo P73 laptop, but it is always handy to have a backup or a second location. Saves having to carry your power supply everywhere. Works flawlessly.

This ThinkPad AC charger is just like the one that originally comes with the ThinkPad. It functions like the original in every way. This would be good to purchase as a spare charger.

Perfect 170W replacement for Lenovos. Not much else to say, its not light weight, its a power brick.

While my P50 wont report connected wattage (Lenovo Vantage is broken) it no longer complains on boot about charger wattage (as it did with my 135w adapter.) No battery drain while assaulting some photos in Photoshop, so Im assuming this is actually a 170w adapter. Works great.

Does exactly what it is intended to. I use this as a travel charger for my work laptop. This way I can leave one at work. No more forgetting the charger and having my computer die after 3 hours

I dont use my Thinkpad P50 as much since getting a new job with a more powerful/modern laptop, but its still around for some consulting work and occasional use in my workshop. I wanted to have a spare adapter in the workshop for the times I want to use the bigger screen and my software load on this system over there. It does what it says it does, keeps the p50 going with 64GB RAM and an extra SSD, and I have no complaints.

Ordered for my lrnovo legion. Said it would work. Spoiler alert. It didnt. Now I have a useless charger and a dead laptop.
