I have been using it for about 1 month - just fine. Plus - the cord is pretty long - did not measure it - but my AC outlet is rather far away - not a problem.

Looked for it around town and all I could find were old, used adapters that cost at least $15. Amazon came to the rescue again with an adapter that was brand new, a perfect fit, and cheaper than local alternatives. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone facing the same situation. No point in buying a new monitor when for less than $15 you can use what you have. Definitely recommend.
