    Greater than one week

I recently purchased this nozzle with the intent of using it for printing heavier materials and lasting longer, which I believe is what draw a lot of others to this nozzle. When using regular brass nozzles, heavier materials such as carbon fiber and wood will wear the nozzle down more rapidly to the point where you will likely need to replace it often (roughly every 1-4 weeks depending on how frequently you print). The drawback to going with a steel nozzle is that you will usually need to adjust your print temperatures by roughly 10c to be able to print with the same materials. Unfortunately, increasing temperature 15c or even 20c wasnt enough to work in this case, even on a fully upgraded CR10. When the material was starting to come out evenly, my extruder (a BMG) was having difficulty pushing materials through, often causing them to get backed up and my extruder to slowly give out. I practically had to push the door in firmly and hold it in to put enough pressure on it to push the material though evenly. I will state though that when I switched to regular PLA it seemed to work pretty well with no issues, but if you arent able to print tougher materials easily then whats the point of purchasing this item? That point more or less undermines one of the main purposes of upgrading to a steel nozzle, though I would imagine that it would at least last a bit longer than a brass nozzle for printing regular PLA. Overall Id give this a 2.5, rounded up to a 3.

Took me a few days to dial this nozzle in, but once I did I had no issues whatsoever; I was actually able to get better print quality out of this than a brass nozzle (Managed to pull off some near-SLA quality details on a miniature with the 0.4 mm which is pretty astonishing). That being said, I had to bump my PLA from 205 up to 220, and had to go all the way to 260C for PETG. Works like a charm with the half-kilo or so of carbon fiber PLA Ive printed, however. Overall, this is definitely worth the $6 if youre looking to print something more abrasive; just be ready for a big temperature increase.

I bought the 0.25mm nozzle and really like the detail it produces at 0.1mm layer height. It does take forever to print with those settings. Also remember to raise the temp by 5-10C as it is a steel nozzle. Thermal conductivity is less than brass. No issues so far. Used on both PLA and PETG. No abrasives yet, but I will be trying it with glow-in-the-dark very soon.

I had issues getting this on, because the Ender 3 wrenches dont fit it. It is also much shorter than the stock nozzle and now it doesnt sit below my fan ring, causing it to hit prints if there is any Z expansion. Will not buy this again.

Worked great but after 30 hours of print started to act like a stock tip does with carbon fiber going through it

Easily clogged. For my test run I printed Benchy and printed just fine. Second one I printed octopus for something a little bit bigger and 10 mins left on my timer that’s when I noticed a bad print and the nozzle started showing some goop around it. Third print was the octopi camera case and that’s when it totally clogged.

I ordered the .25 nozzle for my dad for fathers day. The nozzle seems pretty great( I have 4 years printing experience). Just remember, at this small a nozzle, seeing need to be changed and you will need to slow way down!!!

Quick delivery. Have to wait on a new hotend to try it out. Was getting horrible prints but I now do not think it’s the nozzle.
