> 24 hourI was excited about getting and using this wire brush wheel and it exceeded my expectations. The reason is that this is wider than many others so it runs much more smoothly on whatever you are trying to smooth or brush out. Others that are narrower tend to bounce, or grab, which causes the brush to bounce up and off what you are working on. This brush was much more uniform on running on the work surface. With it being wider, you get a more uniform brush action and less of a possibility of cutting into softer materials such as plastic or wood. This will now be my “go to” wheel to use to clean rust off tools such as shovels accidentally left outside. Yes, there will be times I will need to use a narrower wheel, but as I am an elderly man, using this with a strong grip of my drill, this is now my favorite wire wheel to use and control.

> 24 hourThese do too well if you are careful. One needs to be gentle when, say trying to remove paint from metal. Wood? Not so sure what to say. Plus, they do a good job sticking my fingers when holding them. Need them though.

> 24 hourThey seem well made and like they will last. I used one to shine up and clean a pipe, and it worked great.

> 24 hourThese wire wheels work well on a drill or in a drill press, but the relatively slow speed of a drill, and therefore slow speed of progress in removing rust, would lead me to use another tool if possible. These small brushes could be handy for hard-to-reach situations when it is not possible to either bring the work piece to a wire wheel on a bench grinder or reach the work area with a wire brush on an angle grinder. In a high-speed hand air tool, a small wire wheel like this would work much better than on a drill.

> 24 hourWire wheel is as described, heavy duty. The wire is stiff and densely packed on the head and is more dense than I was anticipating. Vendor description says high carbon steel, and it is based on spark from metal-on-metal, but Id be shocked if there isnt a little nickel in there just based on the wires color. I used my DW drill on some spray foam which it happily chewed up. It also had no problem removing scale from my very abused axe. It left no visible scoring on the metals surface but happily removed the surface rust. A drill isnt likely the ideal mount for this type of tool. Mine tops out @ 2000RPM. I think it would benefit from more RPM but for my usage the drill is sufficient. See photo for man/tool/brush sizing.

> 24 hourSmall diameter and very stiff bristles, but there are times where they might work better than larger wheels. If youre only going to have one wire wheel though, a brass 4- or 5-inch wheel would be an all-around better choice.

> 24 hourThese wire wheel brushes work really well. The brushes cover a lot of surface area for such a small brush. This make the brush, an excellent product to add to your bag of tools. These rotary brushes are really well made and are really durable as well. This should equate to, a long lasting tools for many hours of use. The bristles are nice and stiff which help to remove stubborn rust, paint, stubborn old gasket material or pretty much anything that requires removal. The rotary brushes small size, make it easy to get into tight spaces as well. I really like the way these small wire wheels make quick work out of tough removal jobs. It leaves metal surfaces looking shiny and new.

> 24 hourThese hold together good. I think it’s rated for 30k rpm but I only used it in my drill which runs about 2-3k rpm. These are good for ripping paint off of steel tools. It will texturize soft metal like copper, I tested it on copper tubing. I took pictures of my lawn mower blade before and after filing and finishing with the wire brush. It can also clean up threads on a large steel bolt. I hope this helps!
