I used these attached to a multi-foot long bit extension to clear out the inside of an agave stalk for the purposes of making unique wind instruments. I found the bristles of this end up getting chocked full of the pulp but that it also helps keep them from getting overly aggressive with piece. For wood, these will definitely grind away anything soft and leave the harder parts of the wood scratched but not ruined. Im thinking I might try something a little more aggressive for the bulk of the work and then switch back to these as a milder approach to the outer edges before switching to something even less aggressive.

I had a small garden statue, which was rusted. I need a tool to sand off all of the rust, before I painted it. This wire wheel brush did the trick.

These do too well if you are careful. One needs to be gentle when, say trying to remove paint from metal. Wood? Not so sure what to say. Plus, they do a good job sticking my fingers when holding them. Need them though.

Both brushes in the package appear to be the same grit. The wire is stiff and strong enough for aggressive jobs. The wires appear to stay on while grinding (or not fall off), which is a good sign. It seems well made.

I ordered this set of wire wheel brushes to help with some rust removal in spots not easily accessible to my grinder. They did a fine job and seem to be pretty durable. For me, they were much more effective on by electric drill than my battery-powered drill as the extra juice went a long way in getting them up to speed and powering through.

These just arrived today, and I was shocked by how dense and hard the brushes are, particularly as compared to other similar brushes Ive used. I used one, today, to sand a couple of rusted lolly columns, and they worked great! Pretty near turned my battery drill into a heavy duty grinder. These definitely rate five stars!!!

These wire wheel brushes work really well. The brushes cover a lot of surface area for such a small brush. This make the brush, an excellent product to add to your bag of tools. These rotary brushes are really well made and are really durable as well. This should equate to, a long lasting tools for many hours of use. The bristles are nice and stiff which help to remove stubborn rust, paint, stubborn old gasket material or pretty much anything that requires removal. The rotary brushes small size, make it easy to get into tight spaces as well. I really like the way these small wire wheels make quick work out of tough removal jobs. It leaves metal surfaces looking shiny and new.

These wire wheel brushes performed fine for several tasks I tested them on... removed rust and chipped paint from the mower deck of my John Deere mower deck and cleaned up the edges of the same tractor wheels. I used a Dewalt cordless drill at high RPM and the brushes took no time at all for the task at hand and operated without deflection or vibration. Easy to control. Sure, I could have used some cheap Harbor Freight Tool equivalent wire brushes for the same purpose. I suspect these will last me til I die as a DIYer :-)

I was excited about getting and using this wire brush wheel and it exceeded my expectations. The reason is that this is wider than many others so it runs much more smoothly on whatever you are trying to smooth or brush out. Others that are narrower tend to bounce, or grab, which causes the brush to bounce up and off what you are working on. This brush was much more uniform on running on the work surface. With it being wider, you get a more uniform brush action and less of a possibility of cutting into softer materials such as plastic or wood. This will now be my “go to” wheel to use to clean rust off tools such as shovels accidentally left outside. Yes, there will be times I will need to use a narrower wheel, but as I am an elderly man, using this with a strong grip of my drill, this is now my favorite wire wheel to use and control.

Great wheels. They seem to hold together with less metal threads than some other cheaper brands. As long as you keep them at a lower rpm, they will last and work great. Inexpensive and well made, hold together better than other cheap brands.
