Greater than one weekI have always used the 3 in 1 original multi purpose oil. Then I found this and this works perfect to slightly oil the sleeve bushings in these cheap made small table fans. Makes the fans very quiet now, will see how long it lasts, the multi purpose just lasts 1 year, having to take them apart to oil once a year. This will work great in my RC world on my trucks or crawlers when I need something more than a dry lube.

> 3 dayWorks great for fans. As was mentioned before in an earlier review cut the tip off as close to the end as possible or else it will be too large to fit inside the oil hole.

> 3 dayDecent price, usually I lose a small can like this before I use it all up. Electric motor oil it fills the bill.

> 3 dayI have a Honeywell HT-900 fan that I use 12+ hours a day. It started to slow down due to dust build-up. I cleaned out the dust and applied a few drops of this 3-IN-ONE Motor Oil and it runs almost like new again. I have another tower fan that needs some love as well. 3 oz is plenty to last a while for normal house use. NOTE: Someone mentioned to cut above the line. I highly recommend you follow this persons advice.

> 3 dayAlthough it says on the can that its specially formulated for motors 1/4 HP and above, I also use this 3-in-1 oil to soak the felt wicking of sintered bronze bearings in even smaller fractional horsepower motors found in things like bath vent fans and dehumidifiers as part of their routine annual maintenance. Its basically the same 20-weight non-detergent motor oil that I buy in quarts at the auto parts store only in a smaller, easier to use can. In these lighter-duty applications, I find it works as well as paraffin based turbine oil where more extreme high speed motor and blower rpms are not an issue. This oil also comes in handy for general purpose lubrication of hinges and other moving parts, so I tend to use it often for those types of things as well. For my needs it seems to last longer and hold up better than the ordinary multi-purpose 3-in-1 oil, which is thinner and also has the strong 3-in-1 tell-tale odor.
